The standard roles taxonomy can be customized, allowing users to create a custom roles taxonomy for their specific use case.

ClassifAI method + Upload functionality (preferred)

Using ClassifAI (Bain tool, search on Compass), you can now instantaneously classify a file of job titles into the classification of your choosing, and never have to go through this process manually again! Simply upload your list of job titles (from Aura) into ClassifAI’s classification module and you will have a newly classified list of job titles automatically.

First download your Aura .CSV

Go to Aura and navigate to the “Roles” tab.
Download your .CSV

Use ClassifAI’s Classification module to quickly categorize your job titles from Aura into broader job families (e.g., Sales).
Ensure you spot check your output
Finally, upload your classified .CSV

‌Navigate back to your diligence in Aura, go to the “Roles” tab, and upload your .CSV
Select your file with the completed classification
Ensure that your classified column is mapped to the “Custom Role” mapping

We have created a list of custom role fields (Custom A-K) to allows users to create their own roles and make them assignable to job titles.

Creating and assigning a custom roles

The process to create a custom role follows the general form of:

Populating Role, Sub-Role and Detailed Sub-Role on the taxonomy table → Click on submit update

The process to assign a custom role follows the general form of:

Filter by title (using the search bar) → select relevant rows (or select all) → assign to the newly created custom role (will appear on the assign dropdown)
